Jain Temple Ruins In Sulthan Bathery & Panamaram
Unearth a Rare Legacy



The Jain Temple in Sulthan Bathery, built in the 13th century is one of the most important Jain temples in Kerala. The architecture here was heavily influenced by the style of the then ruling Vijayanagara Empire.

The ruined Panamaram temple was an ancient religious center for Jains in Wayanad. Though severely damaged, the temple has some examples of the excellent stone sculpturing tradition prevalent in ancient times.

Chirappullu Peak
The trekking trail snakes through rolling grasslands that blanket the valleys. 
The magnificence of the Shola forests comes to the fore at several stages during the trek.
Muneeswaran Hills 
Muneeswaran Hills ranks high on the list of hill stations in the district. The view of dark clouds blending with the greenery of the hills is a sight worth beholding.
The place derives its name from the Muneeswaran Temple atop the hill.
Cheengeri Hills
It provides  an excellent view of karapuzha dam and from the top of the hill the shades of ambukuthi hill seems like a sleeping beauty. It is one of the rare resorts for natural sandal wood.
Tiger Caves
For daring adventure activists, this is an underground cave, with a small water body that is accessed through a challenging decent down a narrow passage.This cave is devoid of natural light and owes its name to the kaduva or tiger that once inhabited in this area.
