Hill Palace

The Hill Palace Museum was the official residence of the erstwhile rulers of Kochi. 

One can see oil-paintings, murals, sculptures, manuscripts 
and belongings of the Kochi Royal Family.
It houses a deer park and a beautiful garden.
Numerous species of flora including rare medicinal plants grow here.

Bolgatty Island

Bolgatty Island is a picturesque island.

It is famous for its eponymous palace along with being a growing cosmopolitan hot spot in the area.
The Palace has now been transformed into a famous Kerala Tourism Department Corporation (KTDC) Hotel and Resort.

Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary

Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary, 'The  Green Lung Of Kochi', is an ecologically sensitive area situated at the center of Kochi behind the Kerala High Court building.
It is the only bird sanctuary in Kerala which is located in Mangrove forests.

A representative of the Fort Kochi colonial bungalow, this building reflects Portuguese, Dutch and local influences.

Mattancherry Palace

It was built around 1545 C.E. by the Portuguese as a present to King Veera Kerala Verma of Kochi dynasty. 
It came to be known as the Dutch Palace as it underwent major repairs at the hands of the Dutch.

Synagogue

Built in 1568,this synagogue attracts numerous visitors to
Mattancherry.

One step into its divine halls leaves a person enthralled with the rare antiques on display. 
The chandeliers and lamps sparkle alongside the natural sunlight that flows in through its large windows.
The hand-painted blue willow patterned tiles are architectural marvels in themselves.

The Synagogue is open every day except Fridays, Saturdays.

One of the most prominent landmarks that dot the backdrop of the Mattancherry area is the majestic Clock Tower, situated right next to the Synagogue.

Kuzhupilly

The Pallipuram Fort, Built in 1503 by the Portuguese which considered as the oldest surviving European monument in India, 
And the famous Manjumatha Church are other famous destinations near Munambam Beach.

Kumbalangi Integrated Tourism Village Project is a unique initiative to transform the tiny island of Kumbalangi into a model fishing village and tourism spot. It is the first of its kind in India 

Kumbalangi 

Kumbalangi is surrounded by backwaters.  Chinese Fishing Nets cover the island and the village boasts of rich aquatic life. An array of mangroves separate land from water and provide for a good breeding ground for prawns, crabs, oysters and small fish.

Facilities like pedal boating, row boating, angling of fish etc are available.


Fish Jumping

Karimeen Fry, Karimeen Pollichathu etc. are special dishes here. 
Tourists can take rest in hammocks under shade of coconut palm leaves

Tourists can also enjoy speed boating and witness fish jumping at Malippuram.
It is a marvellous experience.
